Main Street Trail & Trailhead

As one of our community’s greatest assets, the Batesville Trails have attracted community members and visitors to Liberty Park, The Plex, Brums Woods, Batesville Skate Park and The YMCA. The Main Street Trail was adopted to extend the existing Batesville Trails through the downtown area. The Main Street Trail Extension will enhance connectivity between community assets and downtown, its businesses, and community assets.

With funding provided by the Hillenbrand Partnerships with Possibilities Grant through the Ripley County Community Foundation, Batesville Main Street will establish a Trailhead at Women’s Inspiration Park. The Trailhead will feature a common map of all of the existing and future Batesville Trails. The Trailhead provides a convenient and easy access point to the Batesville Trails and leverages existing infrastructure including parking and installed water fountains in the immediate vicinity of the Trailhead.
